Meeting Set to Discuss Olsburg Post Office

There has been a lot of talk recently concerning our Post Office in Olsburg.  Some of the talk is factual and some is just rumors.

The best way to find out what is going on is the attend the meeting on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 1 PM. The meeting will be held at the American Legion Building.  It's an bad time for most everyone, but if you can make the time to come, it would be great for you to get information first hand and ask questions.

There was a questionnaire mailed out a few weeks ago.  If you didn't get one or have misplaced it you can pick one up at the Olsburg Post Office or we will get one here for downloading.  Please check back in a couple of days.

Hope to see as many folks as possible on the 24th!!

Established in 1880, Olsburg is a small town with a big heart.

We are proud of our rich Swedish heritage and extend a hearty “Välkommen till yår stad” Swedish for “Welcome to Our City” to visitors and future residents alike.

Olsburg can be found along Kansas Highway 16 in West Central Pottawatomie County and a short 20 miles North of Manhattan.

Tuttle Creek Reservoir is located 7 miles West along with the second longest bridge in the state.  Olsburg Marsh provides ample area for hunting and fishing seven miles North along a beautiful drive on Shannon Creek Road.

The Olsburg is welcoming and friendly and strives to be a progressive community that works together to promote the advantages of small town living.

Come visit.  We are sure you will want to return to see our progress as our community grows!

Sepecial Thanks to Rachel Foster for designing the Sunflower Dala Horse.  We appreciate that she has been willing to share her talent with our community.

Thanks also goes out to Beverly Graves for her capable talent in the design of our new community flag.  Bev works behind the scenes on numerous community projects.  We appreciate her efforts!
