City Park Project
One of the larger projects City of Olsburg and Olsubrg Community Pride has worked on is creating an attractive, safe location in the city park for children to play. This was accomplished with the hard work of many volunteers from the community and other organizations in the area.
Funds were raised for the project through a 50/50 grant from KDHE and Kansas Health Foundation.
The next phase of the park improvement project is to build a multipurpose court for basketball, tennis, volleyball, badminton and hopscotch. The old court site was constructed in the early 1970's. Over the years the cement became broken, uneven and unsafe, making unuseable. The old court was removed and became the site of the new playground equipment.
Fundraising efforts are underway to secure the finances required to install the new court.
